Chris, you know that I prefer to be honest above being polite. Please keep that in mind by reading my following comment. I think the original photo was a perfect one. I respect what you've done with this image to achieve this effect (as it's your image and your personal taste), but to me the green and yellow colours are too intense (somewhat oversaturated). I tend to agree with Cornelius about the oversaturation of the greens, but it does make for a very striking image.
