Between all the photos I didn't get to comment on and here, I must have missed why this is in a wire cage...preservation? At any rate, the detail in this statue is purely amazing.

Chris, I already commented on that net at one of your previous posts. Without net it will cost some time before the statue is dirty. It will cost then some effort and money to clean it from time to time. With a net the vision, however, is permanently spoiled. Perhaps another reason (e.g. acid in the pigeon manure) is debit for the permanent protection. Thanks for your effort to capture this, anyhow, nice image. Regards, Cornelius

I just hate these nets, they are so disturbing, and no matter how good you are in editing a image, you can never get rid of them.
