edit: as this opening is beside one of the gates i presumed that it was for peeking and maybe also shooting the enemy ante portas...

not much room in that alcove to shoot bows and arrows, but its a nice shot showing that old stone !

Nice shot, but not the best of your Hochosterwitz shots. It seems a little bit noisy and unsharp. Have you used a high iso?
The colors seems to be a little bit unlifelike.
Seeing this alcove and some other shots of Hochosterwitz it becomes pretty clear why this castle was not ingestible. Great!
