Pasterze is the longest glacier in Austria and in the Eastern Alps, at approximately 9 km in length, reaching from 3,463 m to 2,100 m above sea level. It lies in the Hohe Tauern mountain range directly beneath Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner.

Wonderful view Chris. still I hope to beat your claim in about a week from now, since I will visit the Aletsch Glagier. With a length of 23 km, the Aletsch is the longest glacier in the Alps. I pray for good weather....
