The Pasterze Glacier, Austria's still biggest glacier. In the past decades it was shrinking dramatically!

Got something for your creative editing consideration, Chris.

Ready?

Tony Kuyper Photography - Tuturials

/\ In particular, that of the "Luminosity Masks", "Luminosity Painting" and that of "The Magic Mid-tones".

(Actually, all of his tutorials are excellent.)

That said ... here is the shortcut version towards toning down some 'hot spots':

For pc;

Ctrl+ Alt + ~

Then, and without doing anything else (at this point, the 'marching ants' should appear) ... open a Curves Adjustment Layer.

Without clicking on any option ... make adjustments to the Curve.

If need be, clicking on the Mask just created in the above steps, the process can be repeated.

Cool cool, thing about the above? And as explained in words by Mr. Kuyper?

All selections are automatically feathered. Nice. :o)

Right, back to your image here.

Aside from the obvious (ergo, the stuff above mentioned) ... nice shot. Good good composition.

Further caveats? Minor, really.

Seems to be some unevenness in the sky? (Almost at midpoint, horizontally, tad darker in that area.)

Not sure if this is a stiching job, or not. (Simply going on your narrative here. Size, or resolution-wise.)

That usual nonsense of mine aside, and reiterating ... challenging shot ... nicely done.

And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
