This is The New Brighton beach complete with its new wind farm. The interesting point is that when I moved here 19 years ago there was no beach, just polluted mud banks. The zig-zagging concrete blocks were put in place to trap the sand and they worked. We now have a large clean beach and clean sea-water that have both won awards for their cleanliness. Not bad considering this is less than a mile from the mouth of The River Mersey.

Wow, that is interesting. Its a very nice looking beach as well Steve, I can see why it would win awards. There is talk of a windfarm going off Llandudno which is causing so many arguments. I personally think that they dont look half bad though. A very nice shot here, and I am off to build a nice sandcastle now :))

This is really good. Did you use a polariser to get the blues and golds? I love the curving line of the blocks coming into and going out of the shot, very artistic Steve.

Kewl. I like it when there's an uplifting story to be told about how mankind worked with Mother Nature to create rather than destroy.

What a bizarre sight. It is like an abstract painting. The natural elements combined with the concrete blocks and the steel windmills at sea.
A very good image!

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
