This is one of my favourite flowers. This beauty was in The Walled Garden in Royden Park on The Wirral, Merseyside,North-West England. Alliums are very common in the kitchen; onions are alliums, shallots are alliums, leeks, garlic and chives are all alliums.

Gorgeous detail Steve and perfect DOF - the allium in the foreground is perfectly in focus and everything else is gently blurred. I've never noticed the little green bits in the middle of the blooms before.
