These are some of Tall Ships in Wellington Dock, Liverpool ahead of the Parade of Sail on Monday. This shot was taken from on board the ferry Snowdrop. Up to 1 million people are expected to visit The Waterfront over the four days of festivities.

I love these masts too, I think Turner has a lot to answer for on that front. Shame about the white sky here Steve, and it would be good to see the whole of the ships, but we work with what we have. I'd certainly be there if I was in Merseyside, that's for sure.

laughter is the best medicine.
Normally I don't like grey skies but this, coupled with the masts, adds such a ghostly effect. Great post Steve. Enjoy the festivities.

I agree with Tick, against the grey sky they look like ghosts from a different time and place... and I like the color contrasting against the sky.
