I am guessing that it is showing it can douse a fire. What a nice view of a floating firetruck. Then again I may be totally wrong. I will have to wait for C to comment to find out what truly is going on. Very nice post Steve. I bet you and the missus had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. I know I'm enjoying your work.
You crack me up with your titles. I've never seen one of these things in the flesh. Great shot here, the colours are so vibrant and the spray from the ship is really impressive. I've got two suggestions if I may, one it looks to be slightly at an angle and might benefit from a straighten; and two, if you'd gone further to the right I reckon you might have been able to get the three ships in a line leading back into the frame, which would have looked good. Not knocking it though, it's good as is. Looks like you had a lot of fun that day!
A maritime habbit often used to say 'welcome' when a big ship comes in after a long journey, but this time at the departure of the tall ships to entertain the waiting people.
Very nice post again Steve.
Regards, Cornelius.
I was glad to read Mr. C's comment, and I was just thinking how comforting it would be to have one of these around if you were sailing in a wooden ship!
