There are some animals that are so wild that even zoos can't contain them. I saw this Robin at Chester Zoo. I don't think it posed too much of a threat.

Steve you captured his color so well. Beautiful color and markings can be seen. I agree with you he is wild but not a threat. :) sandi♥

Be careful, Steve. That's a flesh eater. LOL. Great shot of that colorful bird.

It does pose a threat to some other very small inhabitants of the zoo :) Nice colours, good post.

I know Robins can be 'scrappy' little buggers pal!...

I see them in our garden, and they soon chase the bigger boys away!..

Nice clarity on this one...looks good for 'crimbo' card!

Your Robin looks much different than the ones we have around here. Ours are not nearly as colorful. I think ours are larger as well. You captured him very nicely Steve. Good post.

You hear of these Robins nesting in all sorts of strange places. The latest place I heard of was in the cigarette butt container outside some business. So everyone was forbidden to stub-out in it until the young ones had flown!! Lovely capture and the colour is spot-on. Well done!

Good one Steve, the monochrome background really highlights the bright red of his chest. As for being too wild for the zoo, he looks pretty cross at having his photo taken so lord knows how he'd react to being caged!

Awww, he's doing the "bird" dance!! Used to see that on Sesame Street? lol It's funny, the little things that add to a good photo...the leaves, they make us realize his size...the wooden pilings....nice textue...very good Steve...V
