This a lone Nigella or Love In A Mist that has survived this long into Autumn. It is a sparkly,blue reminder of Summer.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Is it related to Sir Nigel? I can imagine him as a youngster holding his breath until he turns blue in the face.

I've never seen a flower like this before either but I find myself absolutely mesmerised by it. The way you've captured the colour, the shine on the petals and the fantastic alien looking centre is absolutely brilliant. Fantastic image, well done.
