This is the lovely Laburnum arch in The walled Garden in Royden Park, Merseyside.

I sat in the sun on that bench at the end and listened to THIS on my iPod. This is the Lauda Jerusalem from The Monteverdi Vespers of 1610. Mrs b and I have sung the whole work twice, the last time in the wonderful Chester Cathedral. This section is one of the most beautiful, exciting and difficult 4 minutes of music we've ever sung.

I thought when I saw the title that you had visited Bodnant Gardens which has a very famous laburnum arch, and I was going to tell you off for not calling in for a brew lol. Beautiful capture of this stunning arch my friend.

What a great shot Caruso. Faved. The music and this place were made for each other. Love how it funnels you to the bench. Lighting and shadows are superb. One of your very best.

Love it! The laburnum makes such a lovely portal... And thanks for giving me a name to call it, I found one small tree with the blooms but never knew what they were.
