Yet another picture of The Perch Rock Lighthouse at the mouth of The River Mersey close to Liverpool.This was the scene yesterday (19th November 2009) during a storm.

I think we had the same storm over here yesterday. Like Jimbob says, great waves. And of course, we never get tired of lighthouses!

Coming in from the sea in that weather this will be a wonderful sight. But even otherwise it is - here because of the quality of the photo.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?
Wave action shots are like sunsets or sunrises, they change by the time the shutter clicks again. I like this one just as much as the others Caruso. Waves and a lighthouse are a tried and true formula. Good post.

I don't know how you do it but every picture of the lighthouse you post looks like it's the very first... Great surf, it certainly puts everything into perspective next to the lighthouse... Does anyone man the structure or can you visit it? The way you present it, it seems like it's a character in a story.
