More new Brighton Swans.

Some wonderful music by Giovanni Gabrieli (1554 - 1612). This is his Sonata Pian 'e Forte which has entered the history books as the first piece of published music where the composer has indicated how loud the music should be played.

A beautiful image. The soft focus on the edges adds to the mood!

Very nicely composed ... posed ... and captured.

A certain elegance exudes from the posturing of the swans that you caught here and is most evident.

The blurring/soft focus is a good creative touch.

If I may be bold though on this creative note, perhaps less might be more?

In particular and specifically ... lessening the effect on the body of the one swan more so affected. Not much, mind you ... just some.

And perhaps more so, and as a general comment ... smoothing out the transition from the clear areas to that of the blurred. (An additional thought here is that by doing so, it might provide a slight assist on the dimensionality/depth front.)

Not sure which image editing software you are using, however, the Diffuse filter would work well towards what I perceive as your intended artistic aim and goal with your image here, too. Another creative option to explore, if you will.

That said ... very nice shot, Steve. Strong composition and well presented to us. Despite what my drivel above may lead some to think.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

A good, artistic shot of the swans Count B. I like it when Les comments. He gives you the true skinny as he sees it. Here is another song that might work with this post.

I'm curious whether the swans like Buck Owens song 'Together again' (link by Tick) as well or would they prefer Giovanni Gabrieli's 'Sonata pian'e forte', lol.
Wonderful and dreamy post Steve. Done very well, mate.

Wonderful shot of the pair Steve although I must agree with Les about the blurring. They look so beautiful drifting together.

Beautiful once again and I will agree with Les on the blur effect. The dreamy effect does work so well with the two swans. , ♪ ♫ :)sandi♪ =^..^=

I love them in black and white and the blur fading out to the sides gives it a dreamy effect.
