This is the 12th Century Orford Castle in Suffolk on the east coast of England.This is the castle Keep and originally it was surrounded by outer walls. (If you click HERE you can see a short video of the interior).

A good capture of the keep and a nicely composed shot. I like the textures in the stonework walls. It looks like a bit of restoration work has been done to the upper floor of the tower. Good work and thanks for sharing.

Was it called Orford so that the locals would keep Orff the land? sorry I know that was too corny :) Fantastic old building, and so well restored, to think that this is a whole century older than my castle.
