Great B&W photo. It has a historical feel to it especially knowing that it's from 2008. Not so long ago but still its still history. :) I like the waves too. Great post!

The b/w transformation sure makes for a dramatic effect Steve, & the details on the distant ships is great.

It has a WWII flair to it Caruso. I think it must be the black and white. Very emotional post.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

Sea Fever

B&W made the scene even more threatening than it already was, Steve. Very good post.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Wow!! Fist of all I love the B&W. The powerful waves coming ashore and the boats out on the ocean is awesome to see:)
