Looks a bit weedy to me Steve!...Wor-Lass says it has a look of a corn flower, but looks too 'thin'!...So, I will leave it up to the experts for recognition!
It's not hard to understand why a flower calls a critter necessary for it to survive, its friend, lol.
Very fine image, Steve. Love both the composition and the clarity! Well done!
Regards, Cornelius
PM for Mrs B, your sister in law, Bob and you: Ann (Wor-Lass) is right, as usual! It's a Centaurea cyanus (cornflower!) almost at the end of the flowering part of its life.
I see why Sea knew what it was called Caruso. It is also called a Cornflower according to his link. It looks like a carnival ride for insects. I think the bee is getting its money's worth. Wonderful post.
I bet the bee doesn't know what the name of it is, and I don't think it cares...just as long as he get's what he came for. LOL. Bee-U-T-full shot, Steve.
Crackin' shot though..nice compo too!
