This is a red poppy photographed in The Walled Garden in Royden Park, a few miles away from "Glorious" New Brighton. I love red poppies. they are so simple and delicate but are equally so striking.
This image was taken last year.

Terrific image mate...I think I would have cropped out the waste at either side!...The poppy is the eyes interest which has great detail

The color contrast is beautiful Mr. B. I would have cropped some off the sides to show her off even more, but it's a beautiful image.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
That poppy really pops out of the screen in this image. The greenery in the background is a good back-drop to this vibrantly coloured flower. Well done!

At first I thought the poppy looked lost but when I enlarged the photo I thought it looked good with all the green around it. I wouldn't have cropped it. I think the artistic expression is in the whole picture. Very nice!!
