This is the view from outside our local pub, The Magazine Hotel known locally as The Mags, on the banks of The Mersey in "Glorious" New Brighton looking across to part of Liverpool Docks. The owners of the docks have installed four wind turbines to provide power. These turbines are 125m tall (406ft) and dominate the locallity. To the left of the turbine you can see the stands of Goodison Park, the home of Liverpool's other great, and some would say best, Premiership football club Everton.

A very nice capture, the exposure for the sky is very good, and the main focal point of the turbine is good, They are a bit of a eyesore, but can make such a difference with the use of energy. Gain some, loose some. Tigs♥ =^..^=

This image shows just how tall & massive the wind turbines actually are. Wind turbines are becoming a common site in my area too. Excellent detail & composition, Steve. Love those clouds too.

I guess I would rather have these than those ugly pylons with thousands of wires!

You did say meet at that pub and you would buy the drinks....Didn't yer!..

I will meet you there between 5-7PM, Caruso.
I like the inside view of the Pub better.
Good shot and information.

A great clear capture that really shows the enormity of this necessary monstrosity ! The fluffy clouds contrast with the hard steel well.
The Magazine looks a fine place, and so old!
I was born in Everton so guess I should be a supporter :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
