Flags on Fort Perch Rock guarding the mouth of The River Mersey in "Glorious" New Brighton. Ironically the fort was built as a result of The War of 1812 between Great Britain and The USA.

To all my colonial friends HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Steve, I think to see the England-, Union- (UK), and the USA-flag. Only the mast with the Union-flag has a crown. I understand that the mast with the USA-flag don't have a crow, because the USA is not a kingdom. I don't understand however why the mast with the flag of England don't have a crown.

Like to agree with the commenters above for the way that the flags are standing out against a threatening sky. Good image!

Regards, Cornelius.

Great contrasts and a super capture of the three flags unfurled and flying together.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
