THIS WAS TODAY!! (05/12/2013)
The storm here hit 66mph but coincided with high tide. The winds in the far north of Scotland hit 142mph!!

Around our doors was registered at 104 MPH!...
But I had my wig securely glued on!..
This looks so serenic too!.....folks would wonder what all the fuss was about!, even though it did cause some upheaval!

I was texting with our son close to your area and he had been woken that morning by the gale force winds. He was concerned his flight out of JL Airport later that day would be doomed. I think he got away though.
