This is the graveyard at Birkenhead Priory and Saint Mary's Tower near the docks in Birkenhead (a few miles south of "Glorious" New Brighton).

As some of you know Mrs b and I have been members of a large choral society for nearly 35 years.I'm on the committee and one of my tasks is writing and producing the programme for each concert. I pride myself on having a braces' image on the cover and this picture is going to be our cover for our next concert, in April 2015, which is the stunning Verdi's Requiem.

For those of you who have never heard Verdi's Requiem I urge you to listen to THIS extract taken from a concert in Berlin. This is the last movement "Libra Me". It is simply stunning and I hope our version in April will be as good!.

Mr. B. That was a powerful performance, not my kind of music, but I really enjoyed the video and I enjoy this image too.

It is always interesting to learn about other interests and talents friends have, aside from photography. I think it is wonderful when you combine these interests such as you have done with this image, Steve. Well done. G. Verdi is a national hero here in Italy.

Well don on the achievement with the production mate..

This is also a great one for the challenge too!

The video is very impressive. Steve. You should have your own website or do you have one already? A fitting cover for the Requiem.

Impressive and wonderful composition Steve. Very appropriate for a requiem.

Like to say that I viewed the video. Great performance. The soloist part of Angela Gheorghiu is very special. A treat for 'connoisseurs'.

Well done Steve. A very appropriate image for the cover. Its so well done - can even read some of the inscriptions
I enjoyed listening to the Requiem. I think Angela Gheorghiu is magnificent. I was listening to her sing "Vissi d'arte" the other day. Maria Callas's version was the first classical piece I fell in love with, followed by Jussi Bjorling & Robert Merrill's "Au fond du temple" Still the best version ever!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You should be quite proud and honored, Caruso.
I opened another window (computer) and I'm listening to the music as I type my comments this morning.
A photo that is deserving to be on a cover.
