This is the Liverpool waterfront as seen from the Seacombe Ferry terminal across The River Mersey.

The three older buildings in the centre right form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are, l to r, The Liver Building (Liver in this case is pronounced Lie-ver). This is the building with the two clock towers surmounted by giant birds. These are the world famous Liver Birds and are the emblem of Liverpool.

The square white building to the right of The Liver Building is The Cunard Building and was the headquarters of The Cunard shipping line until the late 1960's. Cunards are celebrating their 175th anniversary this year and its three biggest liners (The Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Victoria and The Queen Mary 2) are all visiting Liverpool next weekend to mark the occasion.

The building to the right (with the dome) is the beautiful Port Authority Building. The image also shows in the bottom right the modern Museum of Liverpool. behind this you can see the massive Anglican Cathedral.

There is so much to see, so all I can say is, "Come and visit Liverpool and "Glorious" New Brighton."

Do you think, dear Steve, that I could make a similar pano with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-XS3? I have been trying but not much as yet...
This is wonderful, simply wonderful. Thanks, master.

Love the architecture and glad to get a closer look. Was this taken near the time that you took the one of the boat? I noticed the wind is blowing the flags in the same direction in both images. Very interesting and nice to see so much detail!

A superb pano of this wonderful skyline Steve. I love the Church of Our Lady and Saint Nicholas which now seems dwarfed by the surrounding buildings. It was once the tallest building in Liverpool.
I have this on my desktop but too wide to include either side.
"Come and visit Liverpool and "Glorious" New Brighton." . . . If only ........lol

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
