The angle from which you shot may likely be the only one open to you but outstanding, nonetheless. It's interesting how the water actually looks higher on the right side of the breakwater, and the waves over there contrast so much with the smoother eddies on the left. The landward structures aren't fully identifiable but that works, they simply being seen as structures, clustered along the shore, are another great contrast with the singular, crisply-focussed, and prominent lighthouse. Your pano treatment makes everything here subservient to the lighthouse. A sure "winner" in the B&W Challenge. I spotted it in the "Image Approval" list and found that humorous... that it should require approval. Who wouldn't approve of it as a submission?
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
A nice and well composed panorama shot showing the lighthouse as well as the entrance into the Mersey river and the scene across on the Liverpool side.
Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
