This is the Jodrell Bank radio telescope set on the Cheshire Plain about 35 miles east of "Glorious" New Brighton. This is the main telescope and it is the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world.
Its a fine photo Steve - the darkish sky gives the telescope a glow. I like your title :) I was interested to read your link. I knew of Jodrell Bank of course but not very much. I remember when as a child even being told about it but I thought for years it was Dodderel Bank. Will add to the BWC pronto, thank you
