We had just had severe storms around metro atlanta, and by the evening, the sky started to break up, and the sun is reflecting a hint of pink on the sky. I have never seen any sky like this.

Again, a cool cloud texture and nice colours. This one is a bit soft, focus not super sharp, but often the autofocus on modern cameras does struggle with dark skies (Dark anything really.) as it looks for sharp "light/dark" lines in the image and uses them to get the focus right, with an image like yours, if the focus is set to centre, the centre of this shot has no high contrast points for the sensor to pick up.
