Yeah, that is a pretty good dog shot. Her eyes are perfectly sharp and the top surface of her snout is also sharp enough not to distract from the shot, which is the key with these kind of close face pet shots, the way the snout is long makes depth of field a real challenge, you can't use Fstops that will give you more depth because they slow the shutter speed and pets are always moving around, so getting those expressive eyes so great and enough sharpness in the top of the nose that it doesn't distract, is a really good solution. The blurred bg serves to lift the impact of her soulful eyes. She's at least part Ridgeback I reckon, she'll be a wonderful companion if she is.
