I like the warm colors in this image and the converging lines of the ruts in the road. These lines are often used by photographers to draw the viewer in to a focal point. The strs look lovely too. I guess you used a tripod to get all this so crisp.
This is amazing. I love the lighting in this and the way you have caught the stars is superb. Like Reg I`m sure you used a tripod with a mega slow shutter to get such a great detaied shot. Can you tell me where it was taken ?.Fantastic work.
Ian :o)
The warm colors were achieved by being Christmas eve. Hot chocolate was brewing in the background with a roaring fire to sit beside.
Actually, because it was christmas eve, all the houses (off to the right in the picture) had their christmas decorations lighted. This gave enough ambient light to light up the surrounding area and trees. I did used a tripod for my Rebel XT with 1600 ISO, 30 sec. shutter speed, and 4.5 F-Stop. I like the Rebel because it allows you to take pictures through a computer, which I did tonight to keep the vibrations down, and be able to see the finished picture better, if corrections to the settings needed to be made.
Yeah, that's just what I was going to comment on before I saw the person above me mentioned it. Fantastic job. I could stare at this photo all day,er I mean all night.
