Wow -- the clarity is amazing! Oh, right -- EOS10D. That'll do it ;-) But incredible shot -- the background is perfectly black, and that rocks, but I also like that you can still see the stem and the little bit of green at the bottom. Nice framing.

Very nice. I like it much better than I usually do photos with centered subjects. I guess the angle of the flower makes it work as good as it does. I probably would have loved it even more with the flower just a tad bit more to the right. (I'm such a bore when it comes to compositions. I always seem to like off-center over centered images.)

Wow, just read my previous comment, and now looking at it on my trusty Trinitron CRT (rather than Laptop LCD screen as before) the background is in fact *not* black, but a dark pale green. Nothing wrong with that, still a great photo! Just demonstrating the difference between good displays...

And, I should say, nice lens!
