Colonial Spanish convent that has withstood hundreds of earthquakes and the ravages of time. Not all of it remains, but what is still standing is in very good shape.
This is another full of personality picture. I love the strong, sturdy looking pillars that actually look like they can take all those earthquakes. The small wooden door? or shutters, also gives character and kind of brings me back in time. Ashley
I'm thinking that modern builders might take a page from antiquity when they think about earthquake proofing their buildings. There's certainly a lot of character and textures in this upload, and I'm really enjoying this one.
It looks huge and has the feeling of catacombs. I wonder how it would feel like to walk there....Lots of ambience in this image. I love the perspective, the lighting and the excellent clarity that reveals the lovely details of patinea. :)
