I don't know what kind of flower it is, my wife says all I know is carnations, and perhaps she is right.

Very good macro you did here. I am still trying to learn that. I like the "veins" in this. I am impressed my friend.

Excellent Petunia. I love looking at them and they are very willing growers, but I never plant the....not sure why. This very clearly taken and carefully composed beauty is now in my flowers file, Bryan.

Wow! Bryan, this is definitely different, from your usual stuff. The clarity is breathtaking. I also like the definition between foreground and background, and lush green to a fresh and bright white/purple. This truly is remarkable! Ashley

looks like a petunia to me but i love it! you captured the shading in the petals and it's fragile beauty.

I'm no expert ... but it looks like a "Petunia" to me. The title was the secondary reason I came here from the new images gallery. The title didn't match the image. The primary reason for coming was the image itself. A wonderful bit of photography. Composed nicely, and well focused giving me a fantastic look at those marvelous "veins" of purple. Great posting my friend.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
