This is one of the best, if not the best, old pictures I have in my collection. Originally taken in 1905 in Deltis Oklahoma which is now called Dewey. I bought this old picture because it encompasses the old west perfectly. From the old man in the chair with a shotgun and a corn cob pipe to Wild Bill Broncho Buster (which is misspelled)and his six shooter ready for action! I wish I knew the name of the cute dog. I hope you enjoy this and get a good kick out of it!

Old photo's are so neat & almost all of them tell a story just like this one. I love the dog sitting in the chair like he's just one of the guys or gals. Wonderful details throughout. Thanks for posting this Paul ... love these kind of images.

The guy with the shotgun resembles Will Rogers, Paul. I must be fun collecting old photos. I bet you are a regular at auctions.
Excellent contest entry.

Paul - This is one stop shopping! Buy some land, buy a stamp for the letter sent home to inform the family of the purchase, and get help taming the wild beasts. The old photo is in pretty good shape - nice work in digitizing it too! Thad

Good and sharp photo for being so old, but a lot of photos do stand up over time. Those cowboys can do anything. Neat photo.
