This is the building where my office is located. I was inspired to take this photo while browsing wikipedia when I noticed the awful photo they were using of this building. I immediately went outside and snapped this. I uploaded it to wikipedia after a few alterations. Later I discovered that someone from the university had used to photo in a promotional poster. That made me feel good.

Architecture and two-tone of this old building is wonderful. So is the angle and shot.

Great shot Geri. Sharp, and rich in color. =) So we can upload in this vertical format now? Pretty cool!

Wow, that building has to have been built in the thirties or so. In architectural appearance, that center portion looks very much like my old high school. I would liked to have seen you link to the Wikipedia article. Btw, yours is the second upload I've seen that is vertical tonight. I never considered doing this. Terrific angle. This UTENN?

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Hi Geri. The light (late afternoon?) is very nice. It gives very warm colors. Well done :-)

While browsing the site, I came across this image. It is quite eye catching. I love the lighting that you captured. It softens and beautifies the bricks even more, though they are quite beautiful standing alone without lighting!I decided that if this was where my office was, I would feel pretty doggoned good every day when I entered the building. I would like to see a link to Wikipedia where you uploaded.
Thanks for sharing this image.
*edit* I searched Wikipedia and found your photo. This is Ayres Hall.Correct?
Stunning ;o) Looks good on Wiki as well.

Very good perspective shot here...Quite a large building...with "acedemia" written all over it!
