This is an outstanding composition, with the interest running all the way to the back of the photo...and what more beautiful "framing" could there be than this lovely bushes? Looks like you may have shot this on a hazy day which is dulling the color a bit. [Yes, I used to live in Oregon and I know that most of the days in Victoria are hazy..:)] Sometimes you shoot when you are on the site and have no ability to come back another day. I am seeing flowering bushes I used to know in the Northwest, and have not seen here in Virginia...many thanks for a trip down Memory Lane!

Nice photo Karen! I like getting shots like this through the tree also. When you take the photo are you checking the F-stop or ISO? They might help with the focus for detail. Looks like you are using a filter which is good. Great job! Hope you have a happy day! Allen

Very nice shot! I agree the composition and perspective are excellent. The clarity could be better.

Thank you all for the encouraging words. I have noticed with my camera that zoomed shots, which this was, are not coming out with enough clarity. Very frustrating. I'm just a weekend photographer, and my camera is a Canon Elph digital. Any suggestions for getting better clarity on zoomed shots?
