This was an image I took while on vacation with my wife in Paris, France for Christmas. This was actually taken in Fontainebleau. "We'll always have Paris."

Hey, this is a lovely picture, the water looks so still giving off a great reflection. The building really stands out. Great shot.

as a constructive comment i would say try the same shot this time with the boathouse off to one side also pick a day when there either some clouds in the sky and or its nicely blue
then experiment with exposures (bracketing) and combine the best exposures of sky vs trees + lake in something like photoshop
here are some photo techniques tutorials
have a look at the basic techniques re golden mean / rule of thirds
