I tell you, played Left 4 Dead for wayy too long. I love this picture and my cuz (Dave) watched over me ccs, so thanks!!! EDIT: credit to CGtextures for the metal
Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I could, I would give you an award. But alas, I cannot. So the highest praise I can award you with, is faving your artwork. Bene lava!!
I've never commented on your work, but I finally had to. Your growth as an illustrator has been very impressive. You have a lot of talent. You have a lot of skill to match.
Methinks it was when you took a photo of/scanned? ... this one, the reflections came to the forefront and diminished some of the nice detail. Could be wrong, however.
Downloaded your image and cleaned it up a bit, for lack of a better term. Simply stated, tried to even up the tonalities across the board. And more importantly, to illustrate a better (in my humble opinion of course) compositional and presentational balance.
Got creatively jiggy with your image, as it was fun to play around with. Tried ... in this version, to bring your character more to the forefront and add some depth overall.
/\ Hope you don't mind my words and play time in Photoshop.
Nice work, Jazz. Really like the choice of materials you employed for your proverbial drawing board. Fits well, it does.
My only ... real ... caveat?
Final presentation or composition. In my humble opinion, as evidenced by my rework of sorts ... need to shift the placement a tad downwards and to the right.
Observe now, how the great lines of your character interact with the framing/corners. At least, to my eyes anyways.
Nicely ... done. And but of course, thank you for sharing your creative talents with us. :o)
p.s. As always, take it as a high compliment from me to have stirred my own imagination and creativity. :o)
lighting could be better, i think you tried to hard for effect and drowned out the great detail of the image
lol Left 4 dead is addictive and awesome!!
still, great work >:D
