The title is from Norman F Maclean's great novel, but there will be no fly fishing in this river. This is a shot of the Olentangy River cutting through Highbanks Metro Park. I took this picture just this morning.

Like the angle. I like bends in river, so this is twice as good. I can't imagine better spot to shoot photo. Colors are dark and late fall feeling. Seems rather mysterious with soft focus in foreground. Good one John and Go Buckeys & Tigers.

A beautiful shot. Love the winding river...looks like a great place to go kayaking. I also love the bare branches leading from the foreground to the background. Great capture.

I like the angle you took this at, and the brushy framing, and the way the river meanders down through the picture...

This site is nutty tonight. First it tells me I commented too many times, then I find no comment at all! Well, I thought the river was pretty and looked so cool and blue and I like the way you caputured it on the bend like that. A really pretty fall scene. Then I asked you if there are not fish in the river.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The good old Olentangy. Makes me think of Ohio State Football. Great shot, John. I love the way it winds around in the picture.
How 'bout them Bucks? Got Meatchicken again.

That Olentangy River again, I just love it! I like the way you've got the flow of the water in this and the delicate blue colour. A river runs through it? Does that make you Robert Redford? ;-)
