I had to go back and revisit Leather Lips and Leather Lips Too. I think that's when I first took note of your photo's. Old Leather Lips has taken you under his wing. I've spent many an evening with some of his descendents. Hope you had better luck. lol. He seems to have aged since I last saw him. Good photo John.
I too went and revisited your other uploads of this monument to the NDN chief and I think I like this view the best, although except for the lack of snow, it's very similar to the very first upload...what a great statute.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

A interesting photo, and a fine monument to old Leather lips John
Seems the old Indian chief left a curse on the golf course, and it always rains whenever there's a major golf tournament !! I can see two reasons why the old fella might be upset, and I say fair play :d
Ohio's answer to the Great Sphynx! I like this much better than the shots I've seen that were made in direct sunlight. Pleasing angle and excellent composition. Kudos, John.
