New World Morning was not taken on a New World, but rather this morning, at Antrim Lake at Antrim Park. I feel the colors and detail do help create a New World feel to it.

Maybe it's your first day on the Red Planet. That would be a New World. Nice work with editing tools. I honestly like it. I find it interesting that I get to use my first post with new avie that PJ made for me on your photo. I'm also the first to comment. Lot's of first's going on here. Remember this is a voting year although that may not be primary reason for avie. Have a good day.

And the pool is like that from Tales of Narnia - another world once you get in it. I rather think that this place is this wood between the worlds - chiefly judging by the sleepy quietude. I wonder if anybody still reads Tales from Narnia and understands my twaddle ... LOL

So that's what the Martian surface looks like up-close and personal. Sure makes that ice encrusted tree look fantastic. Great place to look at, but I wouldn't want to live there. ;-)

Good perspective and I really like the way the tree branches look white against that pretty sky. Nicely done again, John, wether straight from the camera or with a little software assist.

That looks really cool, with the colors. That would be a great shot in any tone. Nice, John.

In a sense, every morning breaks in a new world... I like the palest rosey lavender of the sky in your New World Morning...

This really looks like a new world. The red tones are beautiful and so is the frosted look of the the tree branches. Great work!

Just saw this in the Voting Booth and I just had to comment it. Amazing picture. I love the ice on the top of the tree. Nothing to complain about. A 10 and a Favorite from me!

This could almost be infrared - have you tried using an infrared filter I wonder? The ice on the top of the tree and the unusual colour of the sky really make this one stand out John.

I'm not sure what it is about this photo, maybe the colors, but it just touches me, it's great.
