I get to be the first!! What a cute place John, it makes me think of the gingerbread house in Hansel and Gretel. Very well taken too, the lines are sharp and great focus.
Is that Uncle Tom's log cabin? Would you believe I have one similar to that just down the street from me. It's a little bigger, though, than this one. It appears to be in a residential area. What is it used for? Nice picture, John. It stirs the imagination.

but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
This capture is very good. It is very sharp and captures the detail perfectly of the cabin. I have never seen a cabin like this before, but does cunjure up old Folk tales like Goldilocks and the three bears or other similar tales. Well done!

Just need some syrup and you'd be set to go. We have one in our town as well. About the same size. I think every town in the midwest kept at least one of these. If they didn't, they built one and put it in the park. Did George Washington sleep there? And if so, with who? lol Good post in election year, John.

Hi John...you know, here in Oregon and Idaho and Montana we have many little houses like this, due to it being the Oregon Trail and all...I love these. Talk about charm and character. And, yes its sad to see the windows boarded up, but if they weren't then there is no telling what kinds of things would go in for a peek.
There is a little ghost town in Southwestern Montana that is called Bannack, I've posted some photos of it before. And oh you would LOVE that place! Come on and visit ok? I enjoyed very much your photo here..thank you my dear friend. Verena
Did they abandonned this log cabin ? The boarded up windows make me feel that. May be they gone for the week-end. It must be interesting seeing in this chalet. In our mountain we've got plenty of this calling it refuge for nights. Your pic is very good because it translate very well the sad atmosphere, boarded up windows, bad weather, the fall or winter. I love this. Very well done my friend.
Looks like old Abe's place. Those log houses were made to last and last. What am I saying. I live in a log house. lol I like that you took this shot from the corner so we could see the side and the front too.
I love this cabin photo! But I'm still trying to figure out too, like Jim, why its in a residential area. Strange people..lol..But I love this capture!
