You have taken to Sir Shreks tutorial like a squirrel to a nut keeping with the forest theme. Love all the golden hues in this one Shads. Excellent work.
Absolutley brilliant John. Not seen your work before, but this is one for my favs. I love the composition, the colours and the textures.. you have a good eye for detail. Well done.
John, I have to admit this style is taking some getting used to for me. My first thought is always "way to blurry and out of focus". When i slow down and really look at it I appreciate the textures. This one, for example, reminds me more of an oil painting than a photograph. It also lends great depth to the picture, like I could just stroll straight into it and take a quick walk. Very well done, John.

This one really is worthy of a 'wow' John. I'm so pleased you're finding the photoshopaholic stuff useful. One question here - did you just use the orton, or did you use the layer masks technique too? Looking at the tree trunk on the right and the path I'd say you've decided where you want the orton and where you don't...what that's done (and it's what I love about the technique) is given this loads of depth. The path really does retreat away into the distance, which is made magical by the soft blurred quality of the leaves. I like Rich's comment above - it's confusing becaus you start out thinking the image is too blurry but when you look properly you see it's not. Terrific colours and light in this too John.
Outstanding John.
You've Got the Hang of it Now.
Excellent Title Also.
