I believe you have stopped Norton in his tracks with this one Shads. I believe another sunset is waiting on the other side of the sunset. Someday we will know. In the meantime what a glorious path to stroll down. Thanks for inviting us along for the journey.
The lighting makes this scene look mysterious, but natural at the same time. The blue & brown tones contrast together nicely topping it off with the Orton effect. The only thing I might have done differently is get more of the tree line on the left of the path (especially in the foreground) ... for myself my eyes want to wander more to the right & then stop beyond the trees rather than the path itself. Other than that (which is minor) I like this alot. Excellent work John. Faves.

Jim, no it does not have any Orton in it. I do like to use Orton, but this particular picture does not have that effect. I did try out some other effects I found on Sir Nigel's thread! ~~ cASechASeR..
You do these so beautifully... it really looks both mystical and serene, there are metaphors in the dirt of the road and in the shadowy stand of trees...
