Much is encased within a ring. Beginnings and endings. Passing Thru On The Way To Somewhere. They are that which form and store experiences and make the journey what it is.
Absolutely stunning work, John! I so love all the wonderful reflections. The color spectrum is also very appealing. Everything is coppery and the green on the water adds to that impression. I am not familiar at all with Vue, but it seems you must have put a bit of work based on the fine results.
I feel like I have just stepped out of the space shuttle and I'm enjoying this beautiful side of the ring. Generally there is a tarnished side to the ring as well if you take a wrong turn and get on the Road to Nowhere.
Sounds like a Hope & Crosby movie presented in Vista Vue.

Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
I found the Caedes site by looking for wallpapers like this one, John. I had no idea how they were created, but I loved the looks of them. This one is fantastic. I love the gold objects, the reflections, and the way it is set in the water. Excellent work.
Feels like a portal to other worlds. I love the implied metaphors. As if being there and here simultaneously is possible. Too much sci fi for me! Contact and Stargate rolled into my mind. Wonderful work!
Sometimes things must pass through a barrier in order to continue its journey, instead of float by. This picture looks almost like an interpretation of life. Very good work John.

Very Escher. This has given me some excellent ideas for my next metalsmithing project. The light source is different for each object, which is discombobulating to the viewer, adding to the Escher-like quality. It would be interesting to play with this, rotating the various objects and the light direction to see what would happen.
