"I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips."
~ Violette Leduc, Mad in Pursuit.

Can you tell that I am looking forward to summer? My Bank of Wild Grass was taken last summer at Atrim Park.

I am a huge Ernest Hemingway fan and Violette ran is the same type of circles (just later) as Ernest did in Paris. They both were great writers and their skin couldn't contain them. Much like this left or right bank can't contain the wild grasses. Many parallels here Shads.
I like the view and how the bush seems to be obscuring the view. Excellent coloring and composition.

I'm trawling through your gallery this morning John and this one stands out. I like the composition, with the bush in the foreground and the curves of the river giving lots of depth.
