Since Ragnarök inspired a couple of opera's, it is only fitting that it took two photos to create your rendition. A flood and a rebirth of a world is depicted with gloomy colors united with bright, sunny counterparts. I hope Thor didn't really die.

Good post Shads.

Only you can prevent forest fires. Smokey. LOL.
Very nice work, John. It DOES appear that there is a fire going on there. What a beauty of an image.

I sure love those warm and vibrant shades of brown and gold. This looks like a wonderful painting. I bet you'd do similar and beautiful work with real brushes too, John.

Gulp! There is alot going on in this one John. My mind picks up on two stories in this shot and I cannot get them to settle out.... Hmmmm.... More study needed.

Whoa... this one is just plain ART! I love it... The green interspersed with such bright yellow and oranges, with trees, upright and downed, is a real eye-opener. I'm seeing bright sunlight in the trees but also I see a forest fire, both beautiful and terrible by turns... Splendid!
