Well, John, for once you are wrong. This is NOT a place out of the way of what is expected. Quite the contrary. This is pretty much like what I EXPECT...when I am asleep. I have dreams where it seems like layer upon layer of things that are going on, or have happened in the past. Maybe that's why I can't wait to get to sleep, and start dreaming. There is no way I could ever explain what I dreamed. You have a really nice image here. I love the scene, and the colors, and whatever treatment you used, works well. Very nice.

I love this -- the smooth lines, soft colours and glossy shine... I wasn't expecting it, but at the same time it feels right!

I'm split here. I like the color scheme, and the compositon of the original scene.. but not crazy about the amoeba-ized double exposure effect. keep experimenting.. that's how we all learn.. from our own work, and from that of others.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Well John, I love the photo capture and even the title! But I'm not too fond of your effects that you've done. Sorta eerie looking and the shot is too pretty for eerie, if that makes any sense!

Ah yes. Those unexpected things that can twist us around inside like a pretzel.... What we do with them is the real test. Your meaning and the photo thereof are very well taken in John. A person really must take your narrative and place it within the picture when viewing this work of yours. To view it as just a design work or picture of normal viewing is to truly lose or miss what the photo really speaks of.....

I believe everytime a person walks up to the water, scenes from their life are reflected. It is a good place to decide if changes are needed. From the looks of this one, nothing needs to be changed. Everything is as it should be.
Good work Shads.

Inspiring creation. I like the blending of real and imaginary. Like a song that means something different to each listener, even within the same person at different times... I love the colors, comp and lighting. I think a wall sized version would hold my attention for a long time.

It is a shame that so few people actually enlarged the picture to see the full effect. I like it. It is the sort of image that you stare into and see something new each time. Faved.

When I look at this image it is almost that I am looking at it through a polished piece of glass and can see the reflection of the light behind me, and also see the reflections in front of me too. Brilliant!

Learn to expect the unexpected... one of my mottoes... it's certainly time-tested. ;-) I don't know if it's a by-product of where I am in my life right now, but things - especially natural things - I really look at seem to have multiple layers on them, like visions of the past. I see a breeze-ruffled pond and my mind takes me to the ruffled lake I knew in Vermont years ago; the trees I see become a vision of the Connecticut woods I grew up with... This is where your image takes me... eerie and beautiful.

beautiful, there are clearly or unclearly several layers to this piece and your artistic choice of manipulating some aspects and leaving others, like the trees (particularly the tree with a tribal colors at the bottom- shades of red and yellow). makes you ponder. my only critique is the sky, i would have made it simple to contrast the magnificent beauty you put into the trees and water, but still very good piece
