Percy Bysshe Shelley ~~ To Night

Swiftly walk over the western wave,
Spirit of Night!
Out of the misty eastern cave
Where, all the long and lone daylight,
Thou wovest dreams of joy and fear,
Which make thee terrible and dear, -
Swift be thy flight!

John - Such a dark poem as this one by Shelley aligns well with the tone of your photo. There is a mysterious sense with the dark water and far shoreline, as well as the colored sky. Yet, the light focuses on the bench and draws the eye there, as though it calls one to sit and ponder this dark scene.

Wrap thy form in a mantle grey,
Star-inwrought!
Blind with thine hair the eyes of Day,
Kiss her until she be wearied out,
Then wander o'er city, and sea, and land,
Touching all with thine opiate wand -
Come, long-sought!

OB was probably a snoozin' away, and rolled into the water. LOL. Fantastic colors, John.

Another perfect poem fit to the photo. Really like the multi-colored sky. A perfect place to spend the night looking at stars with a love one.

I like it Shads. It makes a good bookend for this very high scorer.
The sky looks just real enough to make it work.
I think the empty bench speaks volumes. Another good one.
