You have a terrific, creative imagination, John. This is truly a fascinating piece of work. It has an ethereal, ghost-like quality, but is very powerful. Beautiful!
You are really getting great at this Shads. I would like a tutorial and learn how to do this.
When I saw the title my mind went to the book and movie:The Man In The Iron Mask, actually the book was part of a trilogy. Your recent use of movie quotes sparked me to do this one for you.
Heywood: The Count of Monte Crisco... Floyd: That's "Cristo" you dumb shit. Heywood: ...by Alexandree Dumb-ass. Dumb-ass. Andy Dufresne: Dumb-ass? "Dumas". You know what it's about? You'll like it, it's about a prison break. Red: We oughta file that under "Educational" too, oughten we?
Incredible work with this image John. I keep seeing more faces the more I look at it. There would seem to be many sides to this personae. Hauntingly beautiful work!
It's a bit like faces in the fire! It makes me think of certain types of movies -- high drama. I like the way the colours give a certain sheen to the image.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
can't tell you how many times ive felt like this (they picture's depiction). i may be feeling like this now, one side might not know. i already told you i like your mask series, but i am also seeing a lot of creative nature shots (on my voyage through your gallery)
