Be glad that this cloud was passing John, because it adds a lot to your allready wonderful composition. The reflections are great as well. Regards, Cornelius.
A great shot, John! I love how the creek leads the eye off into the distance. Excellent use of light and shadow, as well, and the reflections add a lot to the beauty of this scene. Well done!

Your "bio" says Ohio, but your postings look like Eden, John. This is truly one of the best reflection shots I've seen in a very long time. Around here at this time of year there is very little standing water except in the reservoirs, and they don't look like this. Also it's typically a little on the windy side; so there are few still water scenes available. After growing up in Illinois, I'm wondering if this utopian scene was also accompanied by a million flies and mosquitoes.
I see nothing to critique on your posting as much as I'd like to say something controversial or intelligent sounding. I wanted to say that the shot was a little dark until I realized that the dark exteriors only guide the eye into the distant beauty by adding depth to the shot.

P.S. I was on to my next posting when I decided to double back and edit this with a critical comment. Here it comes......your narrative was too short!!! Take that.
A natural beauty. Love the view down into the trees. The still reflections are amazing. Even considering Rogers well versed comment about the dark shore leading the eye in, I think a bit of cropping on the left shore would highlight the scene just a little. : ) Saved.
