The Stare of a Lady Waiting Still is a rework of The Stare of a Lady Waiting, which has been removed.

Les gave me this advice on the original, “I am guessing you wanted to draw just that lil' bit more attention to the mouth area. However, and being bold here.. the relative lightness of that area throws the overall balance off a tad. A tad, mind you.

Not sure how much of your idea/concept would get lost in translation with the following suggestion, I am thinking either.. more lightness or ... none at all.”

I agreed with him immediately about the light. I had not noticed it for my focus was on the eye.

I made a change to the mouth and then went on and made some more changes to the face, neck, and jewelry.

I hope you like this poor lady, still waiting for me to finish…

Good good adjustment, John.

There is a 'flow' now and much better balance (on the artistic note of visual weight) overall, when viewing your piece here.

With the eyes drawing the viewer more so, than that of before and being arrested at the mouth area.

An aside: I love whatever you did to bring out the jewelry. There's a certain image quality to that facet that I quite enjoy.

That said..

Well done, and I still like your lady here and still find her very intriguing.

This is by far your best piece of work. She is a very alluring lady at that, and Im not sure if you have noticed, but she looks like she has shed a tear under her eye too. The lightening you have worked on has really brought this lady's best features out. Well done John!

I always thought it wasn't a good idea to keep a lady waiting. She must be seething behind that facade. Fantastic rework, John.
